Where can an average dumbass everyman like myself learn the ins and outs of HTML? Or is HTML now a relic out of the early nineties? Is this CSS the kids keep talking about the way of the future?
Yeah, this isn't a bad question. It would help if there is no reading involved. My HTML skillz are pretty bad but I sure can cut and paste!

HTML is for structure; CSS is for style. You need both. You tag a document with HTML to give the client browser an idea what the function of the various elements is (i.e. this is a subheading, this is a paragraph, this is a block quote, this is a link), and then you write some style sheets in CSS to tell it how you want those elements to look/behave.

Apparently I am WAY behind the times. Not only can I do only ONE HTML thing (which is link another site - and that took me forever to teach myself), I'd never heard of CSS until right now!
This is why I need that uber-geek you referenced a few entries ago. (There is another reason if he's hot and has an agile tongue. But we won't talk about that.)
