In my scientific estimate, 19/20 dreams are forgotten (just like old boyfriends). But on occasion, there is one beautiful dream that sustains me through the dry spells. One about my success that builds me up for the future, one about love that rises me above the clouds. I wake fulfilled and can't wait to be a part of what Life has in store.
The frustrating dreams are the ones with narrative, usually because I'm trying to accomplish something and the wackos in my dream won't let me. But when I just go with the flow, it usually surreal.

I have semi-regular dreams about killing animals. I am trying to kill the animal, but it does not die, and my efforts to finish it off only deepen and prolong its agony. I am not trying to be funny.
My dreams depend on whether I am keeping a dream journal at the time or not. When I do, I remember them more accurately, and they tend to be obsessively detailed. I think my brain is just playing elaborate jokes on me, knowing I'll have to write it all down later. When I don't keep the journal, my dreams disintegrate into very vague, hazy feelings.

I have different kinds of dreams. Some have a narrative of sorts (these tend so also sometimes have background music). A lot of my dreams are almost indistinguishable from real life until something happens that is completely out of the ordinary. I've had dreams of falling into my own grave (which read "Here Lies Jorge Figueiredo. Beloved Friend. 1974-25??) Very odd. A lot of my dreams also contribute to my theory of reincarnation and recycled energy

Probably a bit of both, I'd say. And the themes suggest some of my own frustrations and paranoia with respect to little everyday things like delayed trains, heavy traffic and line ups...I usually have dreams about airplane crashes; though I'm never on the plane when it happens, I'm just watching it crash to the ground. I also have dreams where I'm trying to call someone on the phone and I can't dial the numbers correctly and there's some kind of life threatening event going on (these are the worst).

I normally have very involved dreams that follow a story line. Normally they're good dreams that leave me waking up fulfilled, but I have one recurring nightmare that horrifies me.

So not Me, but then again, I guess it is.
