Touch You Last

I just finished Princess Mononoke last night. Is it just me, or does every anime movie end with someone or something turning into a lethal-to-the-touch, ever-expanding, gelatinous mass that consumes everything in its path?

You’ve got access to some kind of programming super nerd who’ll offer up a week of his time to redesign your blog. If you can imagine it, he can do it. How would your blog look and work when all was said and done?

I feel like a sack of hammers today. After getting back from Sudbury (more on that later), I spent the afternoon and evening reading Armada submissions—which must have bled into my subconscious because I had awful nightmares last night. The first and worst had me on some kind of prison work program. I was in the back of a van with three other prisoners, on our way to go pick up garbage at the side of the highway or something, and this creepy fucker kept threatening me with a shiv he’d snuck on board. When I wouldn’t go along with… certain ideas he had, he cut my Achilles tendon. I woke up right afterward, totally freaked out. About an hour later I finally managed to drift off again, and ended up in a kind of War of the Worlds scenario. Not nearly as scary, that one, but it was super-long and totally exhausting. So, dreams. What are you dreaming about these days? Or are you even dreaming at all?

Name one of your favourite moments in television. It could be an entire episode or single scene. In fact, it doesn't even have to be episodic television in particular. It could be that time Rob Lowe sang a duet with Snow White at the Academy Awards. We won’t judge (much). If it’s a TVO/PBS documentary, hurrah for you. If it’s Passions , well… thanks for sharing. (FYI - I'll be writing a post around this topic, and while I don’t intend to poach ideas off you, I can’t promise that I won’t.)

What would your alcoholic drink of choice be, if neither expense nor caloric content were a factor, and if no one were allowed to judge you on it?

I'm feeling like I've slacked off on these lately, so it's make up time. First Question: What was your greatest performance of all time? It could be that time you played Rumtumtugger in a high school production of Cats , or it could be that time you convinced your boss that you're a valuable employee even though it was dirty, dirty lie.

The Armada website is up, and we are now something akin to a legitimate enterprise. The submission info and the contact e-mail have both been updated, so do check that out. In light of this: we know that you're working away on a story for us, so how's that coming, and when can we expect to see it?

Lot of dead air here, lately, but I think I’m back for good. Our modem shit the bed early last week, and any precious time I did have with net access was spent either on work (the paying kind) or Armada-related things. The website is ninety percent there, and I’ll let you know when we’re officially open for business. In the meantime, our info is still available here . If you’ve told all those attractive strangers like I asked, I suggest you move on to the ugly ones. And, to discuss: What is your greatest physical accomplishment?
