Barack Obama Elected President

Holy, holy, holy shit. I'm actually in shock. Didn't realize until they officially called it, but I really didn't believe he'd win. (Ghosts of the 2004 election coming back to haunt me.) So. Very. Happy.

Nice work, America.

Yeah, it's stunning, isn't it? But given that the Democrats won the two previous elections and yet the Republican was sworn into office, who can blame you for not counting this chicken before it hatched?

Exactly. I remember in 2004 I was all, "Surely the entire US has figured out this whole Dubya thing ain't working... What? No? Really? REALLY?!?"

Not to be a wet blanket or anything...
But Obama becoming president is just a sign that America is starting to wake up.

They have yet to get out of bed.

I have hope, though.
